In this weeklong workshop, learn how to create your own television commercials, movie trailers, and music videos. You’ll also learn cool digital cameras, editing, working with music, sound effects, and how to master your program out to DVD. Completed films will be premiered at the end of the week.

Kids Animation
(Ages 10-15) Kids, this is your chance to learn animation. Throughout the week you will have fun being in and making animated TV projects. Your completed animations will appear on BITV

(Ages 16-18)

Students will learn how to make entertaining commercials by scripting, storyboarding, shooting and editing their own projects. Course is taught shooting on mini-DV cameras and editing in iMovie on G5 iMacs. At the end of the session, everyone will take home a DVD copy of the final project completed during the class.

YOU'RE ON THE AIR!

Kids, this is your chance to be part of a news team and air your work on your local TV station. This weeklong class offers you a chance to work as a real news reporter. You will learn anchoring, directing, on-camera interviews, weather reports and covering local events. This means hands-on experience with real production gear. At the end of the week, your broadcasting team will perform a live news channel 12 news broadcast on BITV. Taught by BITV News Director - Selina Shearer
