A Community Television Studio

The community of Bainbridge Island does not have an essential communication tool – A television studio. A television studio is vital in allowing the community to create informative and entertaining television.

When BITV moved into its present location we gained much needed space and a room that could function as a studio. Over the past few years we added drapery and a green screen. What’s missing is the television equipment. Adding the equipment allows the community turn-key access to creating easy to make television programs.

Here are 10 things the studio will provide with your contribution

1. Access for every Islander to create television
2. A youth and adult education center
3. An emergency communication center
4. The potential for community news programs
5. A forum for public debate
6. A center for community education
7. A better informed community
8. Helping non-profits get their message out
9. A recording space for musicians and artists
10. Making local television a valuable community resource

We’ve raised $35,000 for the studio equipment and now we need your help. No contribution is too small. If you like, you can designate your contribution to be used for a specific item.
